An Age-Old Approach with Modern Application
Throughout human history, psychedelics have had tremendous ceremonial and medicinal importance. Recent clinical studies only support what our predecessors already understood about psilocybin mushrooms: they have the power to help people heal.
The brain is a complex organ and it is generally left unsaid that changing the way your mind compartmentalizes trauma and assorted intrusive thoughts can be easier said than done. Conventional therapies may not always produce the results you hoped for, and medications can create side effects worse than the problems they intend to solve. Lifestyle changes can also be met with resistance and often seem to only take you so far.
If you are just coping, we want to help you thrive.
Psilocybin-assisted therapy can provide an accelerated path to deep healing, new perspectives, connectedness, and feelings of well-being. 91% of our retreat guests consider their experience with us “positively life-changing.”
Our experience is that this approach to healing is likely the path you have been seeking.
MycoMeditations is one of the world’s leading psychedelic retreat experiences that combines three high-dose psilocybin sessions with private and group therapy for powerful healing. Our retreats take place in serene locations and incorporate a safe, caring, facilitated group experience to catalyze life-changing transformations for our guests.
In our pursuit of a gold-standard retreat model, we have reviewed and adapted the best practices for psychedelic-assisted therapy from prestigious research institutes such as Johns Hopkins University and Imperial College London. Combining this with beautiful natural environments, we offer a way to explore legal psilocybin-assisted therapy that is evidence-based and highly effective.
Having helped over a thousand guests make significant improvements in their struggles with depression, anxiety, and trauma, we are one of the longest-serving psychedelic retreat centers in the world. Our goal is to provide an experience that delivers long-lasting benefits and positive change.

What Are Past Guests Saying?
"I’m off my antidepressants and proud of myself; I just feel like a more fully integrated person. That negative critic inside my head has just almost totally shut up. My friends have noticed the difference and are already signing up for their own retreats with Myco!"
"My anxiety, a "10" going in, varies from zero to one or two. This change is, without a doubt, absolutely astonishing."
"I’m convinced eight days with MycoMeditations did more to help heal my psyche than a lifetime of pills/IVs and counseling was ever going to. I frequently see the word “ineffable” used by others to describe their psilocybin experiences, and I’m similarly at a loss for words."
"It was among the two or three most difficult experiences of my life, but I've come out of it with my depression symptoms very much lessened, and I can't say that for any other treatment I've tried over the last 25 years. Steel yourself, come prepared for hard emotional work, and give it your all. You'll be grateful you did."
"For over 30 years I have tried every available treatment to alleviate anxiety and depression. These past treatments were only bandaids as the inherent problems never really went away. Psilocybin got to the root cause. But what makes MycoMeditations work is the extraordinary group of support staff and the gorgeous natural environment."
"Next to giving birth to my two daughters, this has been the most beautiful and life changing experience of my life. Before booking this trip, I read every single review on TripAdvisor and everyone was absolutely right."
"You need to come here. People who have spent a lifetime in therapy or on various forms of antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds, please don’t give up and come to Myco. Life. Changing. Experience."
"We are walking trauma units. If you are scared of anything in life, come here and let it all go. Let the process have you and you will never ever wonder what if again. Bare your soul...you will leave a better you."
"I have suffered with a major depressive disorder for decades. The mushroom experience facilitated intense personal insight and reflection, and I am happy for the first time I can remember. I returned home and am continuing to improve, and each day is better than the last. As a side note, after the first treatment, my chronic pain was gone, and after 3 weeks, it is still gone. I was not expecting that and am enjoying it immensely."
“I've been back from this experience for a week and I am certain my life will now be divided: Life before MycoMeditations and life after MycoMeditations.”
“This retreat was akin to doing a lifetime of therapy in one week. Using psilocybin in a setting that is caring and very supportive has been more therapeutic for me than my 30+ years of being in therapy and on medication for anxiety and depression.”
“A MycoMeditations retreat will eventually rise up to the status of Mecca, on the must do list, for the psychedelic adventurer.”
“For anyone seriously considering psilocybin therapy and don’t know where to start, I highly recommend looking into attending one of the upcoming MycoMeditations Retreats. You will not be disappointed.”
“I’ve been to a few psychedelic retreats. I thought MycoMeditations was my favorite by far.”
MycoMeditations works exclusively with psilocybin due to its proven impact across multiple mental health conditions. As a natural and non-addictive compound, it is one of the safest and most effective psychedelics for treating long-standing mental health issues.

MycoMeditations & Imperial College London Research
Since 2018, many of our guests have contributed to the Ceremony Study conducted by the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London. The study set out to measure how long participants reported positive impact from their psilocybin experience and broke new ground by including non-clinical providers in their research.
While further scientific studies are needed, the preliminary results reported by MycoMeditations guests are promising.
As of March 2021, there were 181 participants from MycoMeditations that were studied for baseline data, followed by post ceremony data of 57 participants at two weeks, 79 at four weeks, and 32 at six months.
- Studied using the Watts Connectedness Scale (WCS), which measured the degree of connection that each participant experienced to themselves, others, and the world.
- MycoMeditations participants experienced increased feelings of connectedness by 35% four weeks after attending, and remained increased by 35% six months after attending.
- Studied using the Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology Scale (QIDS), which was designed to assess the severity of depressive symptoms.
- MycoMeditations participants experienced reductions in depressive symptoms by 51% four weeks after attending, and 34% six months after attending.
- Studied using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS), which was developed to enable the monitoring of mental well-being in the general population.
- MycoMeditations participants experienced improvements in psychological well-being by 18% four weeks after attending, and 12% six months after attending.
- Studied using the Mystical Experience Questionnaire (MEQ), which is made of subscales consisting of: unity, transcendence of time and space, sacredness, noetic quality, positive mood, and ineffability. According to the MEQ, a ‘complete’ mystical experience is counted when someone ranks above 60% on each of the subscales.
- In 17% of sessions, MycoMeditations participants experienced a complete mystical experience.
- Studied using the Social Connectedness Scale (SCS), which assesses the degree to which people feel connected to others in their social environment.
- MycoMeditations participants experienced improvements of social connectedness by 23% four weeks after attending, and 17% six months after attending.

Interested In A Private Retreat?
Private psilocybin-assisted retreats may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
Share your private retreat vision with us and let’s discuss some options that will best suit your needs.
Before attending one of our retreats, all applicants must submit an application form and agree to a Health Screening and Full Disclosure with MycoMeditations to ensure their health and safety. We have created a psilocybon-assisted retreat model that aims to provide guests with the best possible outcomes. Our psilocybin mushrooms are also locally cultivated, and lab tested to ensure potency, consistency, and quality for our guests.
In addition, MycoMeditations have taken the required steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during our retreats and around the local areas of Treasure Beach, Jamaica. For more information, be sure to check out our COVID-19 Protocols section on our FAQ page or contact us online.
Mycomeditations is one of the only psilocybin-assisted retreats that spreads three psilocybin sessions over a week with group therapy integrated in between. In our experience, we find that this slow integration is perfect for guests as we are able to monitor and facilitate the effectiveness of each dosage safely. We also work with guests to ensure that they are provided with doses appropriate for their needs. Lastly, we are not microdosing retreat—we provide large doses of psilocybin mushrooms for our guests to receive the full benefits of psilocybin therapy.
Following your stay, you will be entered into our continued integration process, which includes additional group therapy meetings hosted over Zoom with one of our therapists. This ensures that all of our guests are provided with a reliable and consistent emotional support network and an opportunity to continue exploring new perspectives following their experience with us.
A number of states have decriminalized the use of psilocybin, however, it remains illegal to take therapeutically within a controlled setting in the United States. The cultivation, selling, administration, and consumption of psilocybin mushrooms is unregulated in Jamaica, meaning MycoMeditations can offer psilocybin mushrooms therapeutically and ensure the health and safety of our guests.
As with any psychedelic drug, individual experiences will vary when psilocybin is administered. The higher the dose, the higher the chance of the experience feeling mystical. Should you have such an experience, these experiences tend to be filled with euphoria, transcending into a timeless, dream-like state, connecting to something greater, and more. Improved psychological outcomes are also related to the occurence of a mystical experience.
