Eric Osborne M.Ed, Founder/Head Facilitator, Mushroom Expert

Eric holds a Master’s Degree in Education, is the first Indiana State Certified Wild Mushroom Expert, and is the founder of PLEDG, (Psychedelic Liberation Education Discipline and Guidance), a U.S. based non-profit for psychedelic research and education.

Psilocybin has greatly influenced Eric’s life. Nearly twenty years work of cultivating, consuming, and administering psilocybin has taught him many invaluable lessons. With a sincere and lighthearted approach, he maintains a safe and structured setting for the psilocybin experiencer. Eric has had hundreds of experiences with psilocybin through the last decade, allowing him to build a remarkable relationship with ‘The Mushroom’.

This journey has not been an easy path for Eric. In 2015, as a result of hosting private psilocybin sessions on his farm, he was arrested. This event turned Eric’s life upside down. Following this, he was forced into house arrest and two years of probation. It was however, during this struggle, that the grand vision for MycoMeditations was born.

Eric wanted to ensure that people could have legal access to psilocybin, in a place where they could feel safe and not worry about legal repercussions. He had witnessed the healing effects of psilocybin too many times to give up. Regardless of the legal status of psilocybin in the United States and most other parts of the world, Eric knew this was his calling. Having spent many of his younger adult years in Jamaica, one of the few countries where psilocybin remains legal, he knew he’d found the perfect location for the center.

MycoMeditations has continued to grow ever since.

“It is my greatest honor to serve as a ‘middle man’ to The Mushroom. And to Jamaica. My two greatest loves. Imagine that!”

Mike Ljubsa, Managing Partner & Facilitator

Mike joined MycoMeditations in early 2018 after attending a private MycoMeditations retreat held in September of 2017.

Mike had previously suffered from treatment-resistant depression for the preceeding 5 years. Having tried conventional options of medication and psychologists without success, he knew he needed something else. Depression had completely consumed his life and he saw there were not many options left. He couldn’t imagine being able to fight his battle for many more years. He was desperate for a solution.

Over these years, through several extremely intense experiences with psilocybin mushrooms, Mike developed a great interest in psychedelics, seeing them as invaluable tools for the mind. His gut had always told him that there was something special waiting for him if he went down this path, and that the solution he had been hoping for did exist. This led him to discover MycoMeditations through a Google search. Over the course of a week in Jamaica with Eric, undertaking three powerful psilocybin sessions, everything changed for him. This transformative week allowed him to process a lifetime of developing issues, and he left with a completely different state of mind. His experiences with the mushroom lifted him out of depression, and he has never looked back.
